Pru McRae is a British jewellery designer who specializes in kumihimo braiding techniques. Her work has been published in many different magazines, both UK and international since 2010 and she has appeared regularly as a guest designer on a jewellery television channel. She runs a program of workshops throughout the year in various different locations in the UK and is developing a healthy following for her instructional videos on YouTube.
Pru’s love of exploring new techniques led her in 2015 to develop her own unique braiding disk, the Prumihimo disk. In 2016 she published her first book, ‘The Prumihimo Disk – A Fresh Approach to Kumihimo’ and she is currently working on her second book.
Pru has two sons and lives in West London with her husband and two cats. Her other interests include art history, travel and gastronomy.
Pru’s mission is to share her love of Kumihimo with a wider audience and to help others to explore its potential in jewellery making. This tour is a very exciting opportunity to do just that!
