Grab your running shoes and crazy costumes! Triple M Tours & Instagram's favourite runner Roxanne Moreau (aka @runfoxxirun) are excited to have you join us in France’s Bordeaux region for the most original running events in the world, the 42.2km Medoc Marathon. This "themed" unique full marathon will see you running through vineyards and past 50 glorious French Chateaux. In addition, we will discover unforgettable landscapes, people, history, castles, food and wine. Don’t worry if you’re not a runner. Our running friends will need a cheering section after all!
Every year since it's inception in 1984 the volunteers of the Medoc Marathon have welcome all runners - both experienced and novice with the same fundamental pillars - Health, Sport, Conviviality and Fun. The first across the line and the last are welcomed and treated just the same - each runner is rewarded with a large number of gifts; tee-shirt, medal, sports bag, bottle of Medoc wine, surprise gifts, art print, refreshments etc. The race is run in costume with each year having a different theme. Over 90% of the 8,500 runners will be dressed up! There are more than 50 other events alongside the race, including 21 food stands and special gourmet stands serving everything from oysters to ice cream and 22 refreshment stands to quench your thirst (some are wine and some are water!). Following the marathon there is a dance and fireworks display in the evening. The day after the Marathon, the 10km "Recovery Walk" is open to 4,000 walkers, runners, companions and volunteers along the same trail as the previous day. Our guests may register for either or both.
